Construction of Rural Bridges in Sri Lanka

- on a proposal made by Hon. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development, and on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Review Committee, Cabinet approval was granted for the construction of 210 permanent bridges at selected sites in rural areas at a total cost of UK Sterling Pounds 35 million and with domestic funds totaling to Rs.9647.50 million to be provided by the General Treasury during the years 2011 to 2013.
