Establishment of two new Vocational Training Centres in Vauniya and Jaffna Districts of the Northern Province and Development of Existing Vocational Training Centres in Batticaloa, Nuwara Eliya and Trincomalee Districts under the grants assistance of the Government of India

- On a proposal made by Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, Officials of the Government have held discussions with a delegation from the Government of India to establish new Vocational Training Centres in the Northern Province and to develop the existing centres in the Eastern and Central Provinces. Cabinet approval was granted to implement the project proposal totaling to Rs.2,669.18 million under the grant assistance of the Government of India and to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the purpose.
