Implementation of the Re-development Plan in Mahiyanganaya Sacred City

- on a proposal made by Hon. Wimal Weerawansa, Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, Cabinet approval was granted to implement the priority proposals of the re-Development Plan of the Mahiyanganaya Sacred City which has already been formulated in keeping with the Sambuddhathwa Jayanthi Ceremony 2600 to be held in 2011-2012. National Water Supply and Drainage Board will undertake designs project formulation and management. The total cost of the priority proposals is Rs.390 million, which will be borne by the relevant Ministries in charge of the the subjects.
