International Livestock and Poultry Exhibition 2011

- On a proposal made by Hon. Arumugan Thondaman, Minister of Livestock and Rural community Development, arrangements are being made by the Ministry to hold an International Poultry and Livestock Exhibition at the BMICH from 7th to 9th July 2011. The exhibition will consist of a Trade Fair and a Scientific Conference focusing on development, expansion and introduction of new technology for improving the poultry and livestock development in Sri Lanka. More than 150 foreign and local officials are expected to participate in this event which will be open to the public daily from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. This will be an ideal platform for all stakeholders of the industry such as livestock producers, animal breeders, feed producers, students, equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturers and other service providers. Cabinet approval was granted in principle to conduct this event.
