Buyer's Credit Facility of US$ 24,928,046.88 from the Exim Bank of China to Finance Lighting Sri Lanka Uva Province (Uva Udanaya) Project

- On a request made by H.E. the President, the Government of China has agreed to provide the above credit facility through the Exim Bank of China to meet 85% of the cost of the project. The proceeds of this facility will be utilized to provide 100% electricity coverage in Monaragala and Badulla Districts which will in turn improve the economic and social conditions of the people in the Uva province. Cabinet approval was granted to enter into this loan agreement.
