Ear, Nose and Throat Complex (ENT) for Teaching Hospital, Kandy

- the ENT section of the Teaching Hospital, Kandy caters to more than 100 patients a day and nearly 2500 ENT surgical operations annually. This section also provides teaching facilities to the under-graduates and training facilities to the post-graduates of the Medical Faculty of the Peradeniya University. On a proposal made by Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Minister of Health, Cabinet approval was granted to construct a seven storied building for this ENT Unit at the Teaching Hospital, Kandy and also to provide necessary equipment to the new building. The total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs.1033 million. The project will be implemented with funds to be provided in stages under the Medium Term Expenditure Framework.
