Financing and Rehabilitation of the Road Section from Dambulla to Habarana on Ambepussa - Kurunegala - Trincomalee (A6) Road by International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Ltd.

- the Habarana - Kantale (44 Km) road section of the Ambepussa - Kurunegala - Trincomalee (A6) Road has been recently rehabilitated under Asian Development Bank Funding. The road section from Ambepussa to Dambulla (91 Km) on (A6) road has been earmarked for rehabilitation and improvement under World Bank Funding. On a proposal made by H.E. the President, on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Review Committee, Cabinet approval was granted to award the contract for rehabilitation of the remaining section of the road from Dambulla to Habarana (21.5 km), to the above Construction Consortium. The rehabilitation of this section of the road will facilitate easy access to tourist destinations in the East Coast.
