Relocation of the Ministry of Defence, Office of Chief of Defence Staff and Headquarters of the Armed Forces

- On a proposal made by H.E. the President, Cabinet approval was granted to relocate the Ministry of Defence, Office of the Chief of Defence Staff and Army Headquarters at Battaramulla. The project will be funded through the revenue generated from the sale of land at the present location of these buildings near Galle Face Green, for two major hotel projects, Cabinet approval for which has already been granted.
