Transfer of the Ownership of the Land - University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC)

- this institution is presently located at Ratmalana in a land 4.861 Hectares in extent, belonging to the Urban Development Authority. This is a national level higher educational institution providing vocational education to the youth and it intends to expand its activities to provide higher educational opportunities for technical and vocational education and training. On a proposal made by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Skills Development, Hon. Dullas Alahapperuma, Cabinet approval was granted to vest the ownership of the land with the University of Vocational Technology, with the concurrence of the Urban Development Authority and in keeping with the Circular instructions issued by the Presidential Secretariat.
