Recent Floods

- Cabinet also discussed in detailed the recent floods which affected many parts of the Island, including the Central Province, North Central Province and Northern and the Eastern Provinces. The Minister of Disaster Management, Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, briefed the Cabinet on the immediate measures taken to provide relief to the victims, on the direction of H.E. the President. Minister of Health, Hon. Maithripala Sirisena and the Minister of Justice, Hon. Rauff Hakeem, extended gratitude to H.E. the President for the speedy steps taken to provide relief to victims in the flood affected areas of the country.
