Tender for the Supply of 140,000 Vials of Rabies Vaccine

- on a proposal made by the Minister of Health, Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Worldwide Tenders were called to purchase this vaccine and on the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, Cabinet approval was granted to award the above procurement to the lowest responsive bidder M/s. Sanofi Pasterur S A of France, at a total cost of US $861, 000.00. Cabinet also decided that the Ministry of Health should take action to develop a mechanism in consultation with Local Authorities to reduce the menace of stray dogs.
