Purchase of Soya Beans for Thriposha Production

- Management of the Thriposha Project which was handled by the Ceylon Tobacco Company up to 31.12.2010, is now being handled by the Government Owned Company registered as Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited. On a proposal made by the Minister of Health, Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, Cabinet approval was granted for the purchase of the requirement of Soya Beans for Thriposha production from the earlier suppliers at the rate of Rs.95/- per kilo, subject to the conditions stipulated by the General Treasury, failing which, to purchase the total stock of 1557 Mt of Soya Beans presently with the Paddy Marketing Board, at Rs.95/- per kilo.
