Procurement of 02 Nos. of 31.5 MVA, 132/33 KV Power Transformers Vavuniya Grid Substation Augmentation Project

- Bid No.TRP/PM/VGSP/10/01 - Cabinet approval was granted to a proposal by the Minister of Power and Energy Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, based on the recommendation made by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, to procure the transformers required for this project from the successful bidder M/s. Tirathai Public Company Limited of Thailand at a cost of US$ 890,000.00 and LKR 2,200,000.00.
Improvement of Infrastructure Facilities in Universities - Minister of Higher Education Hon. S.B. Dissanayake submitted 4 proposals to construct new buildings and to expand the infrastructure facilities in Universities and the Cabinet decided to request the Chairman, University Grants Commission to submit a comprehensive Medium Term Programme for the improvement / enhancement of infrastructure facilities of the Universities for the next 10 years.
