Change of Name of the "Ceylon Electricity Board

- while discussing the proposal by the Minister of Power and Energy to change the name of the "Ceylon Electricity Board" to read as "Sri Lanka Electricity Board", it was pointed out that there are several other Boards and Corporations, the names of which have to be amended accordingly. As such, it was decided that officials of the Ministry of Finance and Planning should discuss with the Legal Draftsman to prepare necessary legislation in a single Bill to change the names of Statutory Boards and Corporations so that the word "Ceylon" is substituted by the words "Sri Lanka"
