Construction of Two Hundred (200) Beds Ward Complex at District General Hospital - Vavuniya

- the District General Hospital, Vavuniya caters to a district population of 200,000 and the internally displaced population of 100,000 who are temporarily residing in the district. This hospital also provides services to Mullaitivu, Mannar and Kilinochchi Districts. To improve the conditions in this hospital it is proposed to construct a three storied building for Ward Complex with 200 beds in 8 Wards. Cabinet approval was granted to implement the project at a total cost of Rs.209 million which is to be provided by the Government of India.
