Submission of the Annual Economic Review of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Financial Statements and Operations of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for the year 2023 to Parliament
- According to section 80(3) of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Act, No. 16 of 2023, the Minister in charge of Finance must submit a Report to the Parliament on the state of the economy of the financial year within a period of four months after the close of each financial year. In addition, according to section 99(3) of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Act, the Financial Statements signed by the Governor of the Central Bank and the Chief Accountant and audited by the Auditor General must also be submitted to the Parliament within four months after the close of each financial year. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to present the Annual Economic Review prepared by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka for the year 2023 and the Financial Statements and Operations of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
