Handing over the Management of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2023-01-09 to call for Expressions of Interest from the interested parties for the use of facilities of the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. Expressions of interest have been called accordingly and 05 institutions have submitted their Expressions of interest. The proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to transfer the management of Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport to M/s Shaurya Aeronautics (Pvt) Ltd and Airports of Regions Management Company of Russia or its joint venture for a period of 30 years as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
