Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2024-04-25 (Subject to Confirmation at the next Meeting)

Providing Two (02) Land Lots located in Pitipana, Homagama to National School of Business Management Limited (NSBM)

- The land in extent of 237 Acres which is known as Mahenawatta located at Pitipana in Homagama has been acquired by the Urban Development Authority with the intention of reserving lands for the development of science and technology sectors as per the concept of “Knowledge Based Town” which comes under the Homagama Town Development Plan. The proposal made by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to grant a portion of 14 Acres 03 Roods and 12.8 Perches and another portion of 20 Acres out of the above land for the construction of Phase II and phase III of National School of Business Management Limited respectively, to the said Institute, on long term lease basis, subject to charging the assessed value of the Chief Government Valuer, was approved by the Cabinet.
