Vesting the Land where the Negombo Eththukala Beach Park is located with the Urban Development Authority for the development of the said Park

- The Eththukala Beach Park (Browns Beach) with an extent of 06 Acres 01 Rood 9.1 Perches is the only beach park in the Negombo Municipal Council area and it is located in the High-Density Promotional Tourism Zone of the Negombo Development Plan 2021‑2030. The Negombo Municipal Council has decided to vest the management of the said Park with the Urban Development Authority with a view to converting the same as an attractive park for the local and foreign travelers. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Urban Development and Housing to vest the said land with the Urban Development Authority as a Free Grant as per the provisions of the State Land Ordinance in order to develop the same as a tourist zone in conformity with the relevant development plans, was approved by the Cabinet.
