Modernization of Automobile Workshops in Colleges of Technology and Technical Colleges under the Grant Aid by Korea International Cooperation Agency of the Republic of Korea (KOICA)
- The Korea International Cooperation Agency has provided financial assistance during the period 2013-2015 for the upgrading of 05 Automobile Technology courses in Maradana, Kandy, Bandarawela, Kegalle and Samanthurai Technical Colleges that are operated under the purview of the Department of Technical Education and Training. As the workshops have been in use for about 10 years now, their equipment needs to be repaired, updated and newly supplied. The Korea International Cooperation Agency has agreed to provide a grant assistance of US$ 75,500 for those tasks. The proposal made by the Minister of Education to sign the proposed Record of Discussion to be signed between the two parties for that purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
