Project for the establishment of Youth Agri-Entrepreneurship Villages to advance the Agriculture Modernization Programme

- In view of attracting youth community to the agriculture and developing their economic status, it has been planned to implement the Project for establishing the Youth Agri-Entrepreneurship Villages to create a community of youth Agri-Entrepreneurs and to introduce the agriculture modernization to agricultural areas. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries to implement the Project for establishing the Agri-Entrepreneurship Villages by selecting one village each in the selected Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the year 2024 and to facilitate the young farming community to use new technology and smart technology, as its first phase, was approved by the Cabinet.
