Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2024-04-01 (Subject to Confirmation at the next Meeting)

Identified Scope of Work in the Main Terminal Building (MTB), Pier 02 and Pier 03 of the Bandaranaike International Airport Development Project (BIADP) Phase II Stage 2

- Bids have been invited for the above constructions from the contractors registered in the Construction Industry Development Authority, under the National Competitive Bidding Procedure in terms of the Cabinet decision dated 2023‑10‑30 and 04 bids have been received for the same. The proposal made by the Minster of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to award the contract for the relevant activities to the Access Engineering PLC, the substantially responsive bidder, based on the recommendations of Technical Evaluation Committee and the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
