Presentation of Regulations made by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs under section 34(1) of the Convention Against Doping in Sport Act, No.33 of 2013, in Parliament

- As per the provisions of the Convention Against Doping in Sport Act, No.33 of 2013, the Prohibited List should be annually published in the Gazette. Since, it has been reported that prohibited substances are given to athletes as well as animals used in sports, related Prohibited List for Equestrian Sports and Horse Racing has also been published from this year. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs to present the Anti-Doping (Prohibited List) Regulations No.09 of 2023 published in the Gazette Extraordinary Notification No.2373/14 dated 2024‑02‑27 under the provisions of the Convention Against Doping in Sport Act, No.33 of 2013, for approval in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
