Establishment of 09MW solar PV Power Plants with 1-5 MW capacity in Pallekele

- Cabinet has granted approval on 2023‑05‑22 to call for proposals for the establishment of solar PV power plants with 07 MW capacity. Accordingly, after evaluating the proposals so received, 04 successful project proponents have been identified by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee. Further, after evaluating the proposal of another investor based on the recommendations of the Procurement Appeal Board, the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee has recommended the said investor also as a suitable investor for the implementation of a 05 MW capacity solar PV power plant project. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the contracts to build and operate solar PV power plants with a total capacity of 09 MW, was approved by the Cabinet.
