Memorandum of Understanding between the Ocean University of Sri Lanka and the University of Notre Dame, United States of America

- It has been proposed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ocean University of Sri Lanka and the University of Notre Dame, United States of America to implement a Research Project on Ocean and Atmospheric Science in the Bay of Bengal for a validity period of 05 years from 2024 to 2028. It is aimed to facilitate the skills development of the academics, researchers, undergraduates and postgraduate students at the Ocean University of Sri Lanka and other National Universities and Higher Education Institutes in Sri Lanka through this project. The total cost of the proposed project is USD 62,000 and the University of Notre Dame and the University of Washington, United States of America have agreed to grant USD 60,000 from that amount. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ocean University of Sri Lanka and the University of Notre Dame, United States of America to implement the proposed project, was approved by the Cabinet.
