Improvement of training courses and other facilities of the Korea National Vocational Training Institute (K-TEC)
- Sri Lanka - Korean National Vocational Training Institute, Orugudawatta was established under a financial assistance of Rs.2,900 million provided by the Export Import Bank of Korea. The Export Import Bank of Korea has agreed to grant a financial support of USD 1.5 million to further improve the courses conducted by the Institute and the existing facilities in the Institute. This project, which is proposed to be implemented within a period of 16 months, will facilitate the common requirements of all courses including Automobile Technology, CNC Manufacturing Technology, Welding Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronic Technology, Automation and Robotic Technology, Fluid Power Technology and Mechatronics Technology. The clearance of the Attorney General and the concurrence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of External Resources have been received for the draft Memorandum of Understanding to be signed between the two parties in order to implement the proposed project. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to sign the relevant Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
