Glocal Fair District Mobile Service Programme Series 2024 - Jayagamu Sri Lanka

- Arrangements have been made to conduct a series of Glocal Fair Mobile Service Programmes across 25 districts as a comprehensive programme designed with an aim of recreating the country's labour market to cater to the global requirements, enabling the easy accessibility to the general public at one place in their residential areas all the services delivered by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, Department of Manpower and Employment, Department of Labour, Sharma Vasana Fund and other institutions coming under the Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment. Through this programme, it is expected to introduce facilities and opportunities to migrant workers and their children in youth whom are to be joined the future labour market to improve their educational and vocational skills and provide opportunities for the further upgrading of the quality of life of the migrant workers and to get their issues resolved. Accordingly, as per the proposal made by the Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment, it was decided to grant the concurrence of the Cabinet for the actions taken relating to the conduct of Glocal Fair Mobile Service Programme Series in all the districts through the institutions coming under the purview of the Ministry.
