Establishment of 100MW, Oddamawadi, Baticaloa Solar Power Project on Build, Own and Operate basis

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at the meeting held on 2021‑08-30 to call for Expressions of Interest for the renewable energy development with a capacity of 50 MW or above of various renewable energy technologies. Accordingly, taking into consideration the Expressions of Interest received, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the project for the establishment of a Solar Power Project of 100MW at Oddamawadi, Baticaloa on Build, Own and Operate basis, with an operational period of 20 years, to Solar Forge Batticaloa, as per the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
