Development of Port of Galle as a commercial and leisure harbour by an investor

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2023-08-14 to call for Expressions of Interest to select a suitable investor under Public-Private Partnership for developing the infrastructure facilities related to Galle Port Development Project and leisure related infrastructure facilities. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to call for Expressions of Interest to select a suitable investor for the proposed Galle Port Development project on Finance, Build, Operate and Transfer basis for construction of breakwater, wharf, revetment, seawall, channel dredging and reclamation of land, associated marine structures and subsequent mixed development, was approved by the Cabinet.
