Justices of the Peace (Appointment, Suspension, Cancellation and Code of Conduct) Regulations No. 3 of 2023

- The Minister in charge of the subject of Justice, has published the Justices of the Peace (Appointment, Suspension, Cancellation and Code of Conduct) Regulations No. 3 of 2023 and the subsequent amendments made thereto, in the Gazette Extraordinary Notifications dated 2023‑11‑27 and 2024‑02‑13 respectively by virtue of powers vested with him by section 45(6) of the Judicature Act, No. 2 of 1978 for making Regulations to suspend, cancel and terminate the Office of the Justice of the Peace. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to submit the said Regulations to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
