The National Tourism Policy

- The Draft National Tourism Policy was taken into consideration at the Cabinet Meeting held on 2023‑09‑04 and it was decided that the said Draft should be further reviewed by a committee consisting of experts in the field of tourism. Accordingly, a Committee appointed by the Secretary to the President has drafted the proposed National Tourism Policy in accordance with the recommendations of the Department of National Planing, identifying the issues and potentials of the tourism industry and taking into account the local and global contexts. Accordingly, the proposal made Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to implement the said Policy, was approved by the Cabinet.
