Providing a block of land on long term lease basis to construct an Ashram for the Hundredth Anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru

- The Sree Narayana Dharma Sangam Colombo Trust has made a request for a plot of land from the Nuwara Eliya district for the construction of an Ashram with the Indian grant assistance for the hundredth anniversary of Sree Narayan Guru. Accordingly, a plot of land of about 06 acres and 2 roods from the land called Ramboda Watta in the Kothmale Divisional Secretariat Division of Nuwara Eliya District belonging to the Land Reform Commission has been identified for this purpose. The proposal made by the Minister of Tourism and Lands to provide the said plot of land to Sri Narayana Dharma Sangam Colombo Trust on long-term lease basis for a period of 30 years, was approved by the Cabinet.
