Construction of a Cooperative Trade Centre named 'Coop Square'

- The Cabinet having taken up for discussion the proposal submitted pertaining to the establishment of Cooperative Trade Centre named 'Coop Square' at the meeting held on 2023‑11‑27, has decided to refer the same to the National Development Committee to obtain recommendations on the proposed project. Accordingly, the National Development Committee has recommended the implementation of the said project. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security to implement the proposed Project as a Public, Private and Cooperative Partnership Project based on the said recommendations, identifying a suitable investor by calling Expressions of Interest, without causing a burden to the Consolidated Fund, was approved by the Cabinet.
