Holding of the International Sacred Bhagawath Geetha Festival in Sri Lanka in the year 2024

- The Bhagawath Geetha Festival is held annually by the Kurukshetra Development Board of Haryana Pranth, India, to commemorate the series of events related to the Bhagawath Geetha, which is considered as the sacred book of Hindus and pay homage to the Bhagawath Geetha. In the recent years, the festival has also been held in foreign countries and it has been proposed to hold the International Sacred Bhagawath Geetha Festival of the year 2024 in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs to hold the festival from 2024-03-01 to 2024-03-03 at the Nelum Pokuna premises with the financial support of Kurukshetra Development Board, Haryana Pranth, India, was approved by the Cabinet.
