National Disaster Management Plan - 2023-2030

- The preparation and implementation of the National Disaster Management Plan in terms of the provisions of the Sri Lanka Disaster Management Act, No.13 of 2005 is one of the foremost responsibilities of the Disaster Management Centre. Accordingly, the National Disaster Management Plan 2023-2030 has been prepared in compliance with the Sendai Framework of Action, the Sustainable Development Goals and the Conventions on Climate Change and in coordination with all the relevant agencies. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to table the National Disaster Management Plan 2023-2030 in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
