International Institute of Theravadha (Incorporation) Bill

- International Institute of Theravadha (Incorporation) Bill has been submitted to Parliament as a Private Member's Bill by former President and current Member of Parliament Hon. Maithirapala Sirisena. The relevant Bill has been duly prepared by the Legal Draftsman and the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the said Bill. The proposal made by the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs to submit a Report to Parliament recommending the relevant Bill in terms of the provisions of the Standing Order 52(6) of Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
