Project for the Development of the Torrington Hockey Ground

- Construction activities of the synthetic hockey playground located in Torrington have been carried out in the year 2009 and the turf of the said playground has become unfit for sports due to the expiration of time and the excessive use. The Asian Hockey Federation is in agreement to provide a synthetic hockey turf for the said playground free of charge. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs to obtain the synthetic turf required for the Torrington Hockey Ground from the Asian Hockey Federation and to develop the said playground in accordance with the international standards, was approved by the Cabinet.
