Implementation of the Electronic Transactions (e-Grama Niladari Information System) Regulations No.01 of 2022

- The Electronic Transactions (e‑Grama Niladari Information System) Regulations No. 01 of 2022 made by the Minister of Technology under the provisions of the Electronic Transactions Act No.19 of 2006 have been published in the Gazette Extraordinary Notification No.2311/40 dated 2022‑12‑22. According to the said Regulations, facilities will be provided to use electronic documents and electronic records for the efficient delivery of services through the respective District Secretariats, Divisional Secretariats and the Grama Niladhari Officers. The proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Technology to submit the said Regulation to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
