Memorandum of Understanding between Sri Lanka and the Russian Federation for the Cooperation of Sports

- Cabinet approval has been granted on 2021‑07‑12 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Cooperation in Sports between the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Russian Federation. However, due to the submission of several amendments to the said MoU after receiving the Cabinet approval, the Agreement could not be signed as expected. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the revised draft MoU incorporating the said amendments. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs to sign the said Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
