Memorandum of Understanding between the United National Nuclear Security Administration and the Sri Lanka Navy concerning prevention of illicit trafficking in nuclear and other radioactive material

- It has been proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the United National Nuclear Security Administration and the Sri Lanka Navy concerning prevention of illicit trafficking in nuclear and other radioactive material. The observations of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council, the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of National Planning and the clearance of the Attorney General have been obtained for the draft MoU prepared for that purpose. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to sign the proposed Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
