Construction of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems in Jaffna Small Islands

- The Government of India has expressed its consent to provide a partial grant of US$ 11 million to provide electricity supply for occupants in the islands of Delft, Nainathivu and Analathivu in the Jaffna Peninsula. Accordingly, bids have been invited only from Indian Contractors to implement the said project as per the conditions of the Agreement entered into. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the said Contract to M/s U-Solar Clean Energy Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., based on the recommendations submitted by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee by evaluating the proposal submitted for that, was approved by the Cabinet.
