Awarding the contract for the design and construction of Railway Diesel Multiple Units (DMU) Workshop at Ratmalana under the Railway Efficiency Improvement Project (REIP)

- International bids have been invited for awarding the contract for the design and construction of the Diesel Multiple Units Workshop at Ratmalana under the Railway Efficiency Improvement Project which is being implemented under the Asian Development Bank funds. Accordingly, 09 bids have been submitted and 02 bids have been rejected. The proposal made by the Minister of Transport and Highways to award the said contract to China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, the lowest responsive bidder, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Standing Procurement Committee after evaluating the remaining 07 bids, was approved by the Cabinet.
