Negotiations of the 12th Round of the Proposed India - Sri Lanka Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement (ETCA)

- Negotiations of the 12th Round pertaining to the proposed India - Sri Lanka Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) has been held in Colombo from 2023‑10‑30 to 2023‑11‑01 and in this instance, working groups of both parties have reached a consensus pertaining to several fields concerned. Both parties have agreed to hold the 13th Round of Negotiations pertaining to the proposed Agreement in India from 2024‑01‑08 to 2024‑01‑10 and to finalize the technical level negotiations by March 2024. The Cabinet noted the information furnished by the Hon. President pertaining to the 12th Round of Negotiations.
