Implementation of High Impact Sustainable Educational Programme for Transfusion Medicine Professionals and Clinical Staff

- The European Union has agreed to provide Rs. 41.28 million to plan and implement an educational programme in view of upgrading the knowledge on Transfusion Medicine for Transfusion Medicine Professionals and Clinical Staff. It has been decided to conduct the proposed programme by a consortium consisting of partners from Universities in Europe, India and Sri Lanka and National Blood Transfusion Services, Colombo and the Asian Association of Transfusion Medicine. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to sign a Consortium Agreement among the relevant parties to implement this project, was approved by the Cabinet.
