Amending the Medical Ordinance

- The proposal made by the then Minister of Health to amend the Medical Ordinance No. 26 of 1927 to revise the provisions relating to the registration of specialist doctors was taken up for consideration at the Cabinet Meeting held on 2023‑08‑07 and it was decided to refer the said proposal to an Official's Committee headed by the Secretary to the Prime Minister to further study the amendments proposed at the aforesaid discussion and submit appropriate recommendations for the same. As such, based on the recommendations stated in the Report submitted by the said Committee, Cabinet decided to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft a Bill to amend the Medical Ordinance.
