Entering into an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education, between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Nepal

- It has been proposed to enter into an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education with a view to strengthening and expanding mutual cooperation in the field of higher education between Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Government of Nepal and further developing the relationship among higher educational institutes of both countries. By this Agreement, the opportunity is provided to exchange training programmes conducted between two countries and also curricula and scientific and educational methods relating to higher education system for the continued advancement of the higher education sector in Sri Lanka and to attend the higher educational conferences and seminars conducted by both parties. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to sign the proposed Agreement between the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Government of Nepal, was approved by the Cabinet.
