Amendment to the Notaries Ordinance

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at the Meeting held on 2023‑05‑08 to amend the Notaries (Amendment) Act, No.31 of 2022 in order to address certain ambiguities/confusions existing in the said Act. Clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman incorporating relevant amendments. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms, to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and thereafter present the same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
