Submission of the National Education Policy Framework to Parliament

- A Cabinet Sub‑Committee chaired by the Hon. President and a Committee of Experts chaired by the Secretary to the Prime Minister and comprising of 25 members to assist the said Sub-Committee have been appointed to take necessary action to prepare a National Education Policy Framework and submit the same to Parliament and the said Committee of Experts paying attention to the relevant specific areas and subject matters, has drafted the National Education Policy Framework. The "National Education Policy Framework - 2023-2033" has been prepared by further developing the said draft incorporating the observations and recommendations presented by the Cabinet Sub‑Committee to the said Bill. Accordingly, the proposal made by the the Hon. President to refer the said National Education Policy Framework to the Parliamentary Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and to table the same thereafter, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
