Entering into Agreements by the Open University of Sri Lanka on highe education cooperation and on the establishment of the Chinese Language Centre

- It has been agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding between the Shanghai Open University of China and the Open University of Sri Lanka for higher education cooperation aiming to promote international cooperation, scholarly collaboration and cultural interaction and friendship and to sign a tripartite agreement among the Open University of Sri Lanka, Shanghai Open University and the Bank of China Ltd., pertaining to the establishment of a Chinese Language Centre under the fields of collaboration under the said MoU. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to enter into relevant agreements to be valid for a period of five (05) years, was approved by the Cabinet.
