Extension of Sri Lanka - Australia Trade and Investment Framework Arrangement

- Australia is an important Foreign Direct Investment partner of Sri Lanka and the 5th source of tourist arrival destinations. The Trade and Invetment Framework Arrangement has been signed between Sri Lanka and Australia on 2017-11-02 with the perspective of enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries. The proposal made by the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security to extend the said Agreement for the next five (05) years from 2023-10-10 enabling the continuous maintenance of trade and investment cooperation as mentioned in the said agreement, was approved by the Cabinet.
